Biography

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and Director of the听Human Rights MA. Prior to joining UCL, I听was a postdoctoral fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School鈥檚 Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs and Stanford鈥檚 Center for International Security and Cooperation. I received my听PhD听in Political Science from Columbia in October 2015. I听also have听a Juris Doctor and have听practiced law in New York, Cambodia, and The Hague.

Research

My research focuses on human rights and on the prevention and punishment of mass atrocities. I am one of the conveners of the , which provides methodological and ethics training and support to researchers working in violence-affected contexts.
