Description

This module will teach you the basic principles of the pharmacology of the main protein targets in drug discovery. In addition, you will learn how to measure biological data for these targets.

The unique tutorial and practical sections will equip you with good skills in special statistics for biology, and how to measure and interpret the biological data, such as Kd, IC50, etc.

There will be two journal clubs to discuss these topics with specialists.

The questions we are asking:

  • What is the pharmacology of the main drug targets? How many are there? And what diseases are involved.
  • What are the common biological data for drug discovery, especially how to measure them?
  • What kind of statistics should be used for these biological data?
  • How do we identify the drug targets?
