Description

This module explores how businesses of different size, maturity and industry can manage for sustainability in different business functions (e.g., finance, operations, marketing, supply chain, human resources). Through a systemic lens you will examine how sustainability challenges (from climate change, resource depletion, pollution and waste to human rights, diversity and equity) are managed and put into practice in different business functions to illustrate how sustainability is, or is not, conceived and facilitated across a business. You will consider the implications for the sector, as well as for the natural ecosystem, socio-political climate, and economic system more broadly. Finally, you will discuss barriers and opportunities for sustainable organisational design.
