Description

Module Content

In the third compulsory module – which will run during the second and third term - students will independently make a short non-fiction film work of duration ‘4-‘7 (extendable, in exceptional circumstances to 10’ maximum with permission of your tutors) on a subject they have developed with a collaborator. The collaborator can be an academic, a research team, an artist or other creative practitioner who is willing to engage with you on a shared project. This project will provide you with the chance to work collaboratively in turning research into film. Students will also produce a critical review reflecting on the work process.Ìý

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:Ìý

  • identify and deal with complex problems in collaborative production workflows and identify possibilities for creatively turning research into filmÌý
  • take full responsibility for initiating, identifying, amending and achieving aims and desired outcomes in a collaborative projectÌý

This is a self-starting research-based module which you will complete under the supervision of a module leader. Seminars and tutorials will support your practice.Ìý
