Description

This module is designed for students who would like to develop theoretical knowledge, methodological expertise and employable skills in professional communication research and consultation. In ten weeks, students acquire a range of competencies in professional communication such as 1) identifying the language features of a given professional communication context, 2) developing effective communication training materials for business stakeholders of diverse cultural backgrounds and 3) conducting commissioned communication projects and providing communication consultation. The module adopts a case-study approach with cases covering an array of communication domains including public relations, business communication, crisis response and conflict management.
