‘Principles and Practice of Oral Health Promotion’ is a module that provides a detailed account of health promotion principles and practice. It provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical basis for oral health promotion and the practical implementation of health improvement actions in both clinical and community settings.

After taking this module, students will have developed:

1. A broad understanding of the principles and practice of oral health promotion,
2. Knowledge of the evidence base underpinning oral health promotion,
3. An understanding of the steps and skills involved in planning and evaluating oral health promotion activities and strategies.

This module is open to students registered on the MSc Dental Public Health.

Method of delivery: A series of interactive lectures in Term 2, delivered by a mix of internal ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûstaff and external lecturers.Ìý
