Description

Pharma-economics is a branch of health economics which deals with identifying, measuring and comparing the costs and consequences of pharmaceutical products and medical technologies. ÌýYou will learn the concepts involved in pharmacoeconomic analysis including cost minimization (CMA), cost effectiveness (CEA), cost benefit (CBA) and cost utility (CUA) analysis. ÌýYou will also come to appreciate the tremendous help thatÌýpharma-economicsÌýcan play in decision making when evaluating drug treatments. ÌýYou will also learn how to interpret results from pharmacoeconomic studies as well as understand when to use various techniques and approaches for economic evaluations.
