Description

This module familiarises graduates with appropriate clinical skills at the start of the programme and ensures they are competent to see patients. It also outlines the functioning of the Unit of Periodontology and equips them with the basic skills required to book patients etc.

It includes, but is not limited to, non-surgical skills, clinical examination, behaviour, patient information and motivation, case presentation, restorative aspects of treatment, occlusal adjustment, introduction to surgery, periodontal and osseous surgery, suturing and pain relief, and crown lengthening.
