Description

The module will provide students with a deeper appreciation of the theoretical and practical issues associated with financial decision analysis and stimulate a critical evaluation of methods used in this subject area. The module will introduce students to techniques used in advanced investment appraisal, measuring risk and evaluating uncertainty in decision making. These include relevant costs, management of working capital, advanced discounted cash flow analysis, expected values, sensitivity analysis, linear programming and decision trees. The module will encourage students to consider the importance and impact of financial decisions and the characteristics of sound financial decision making.
