Description

A variety of digital innovations, ranging from technological to processual transform the built environment and other capital project industries. In this module you will be introduced to theories and practices in the field of innovation and technology management to address digital transformation. The module aims to provide you with a grounded theoretical understanding of the sources and enablers of digital innovation, their context and how you can manage them at a strategic organisational, project-based and sectorial (ecosystem) level. The module will discuss key digital innovations and prepare you by developing your critical managerial abilities on how to recognise, manage and sustain them in organisation and project settings while syncing to the institutional environment. The module will be delivered through a mixture of interactive lectures, Harvard case teaching seminars, workshops and talks by guest speakers.

At the end of this module you will be able to understand:

  1. The core theories of innovation management and technology management at organisational and project-based settings.
  2. Theories of strategy, teaming and collaboratively working in the context of digital innovation.
  3. How to develop and implement strategy for leveraging digital innovation in practice.
  4. How to formulate arguments for developing a vision and relevant capabilities for digital innovation.
