Description

The Industrial Research Project aims to provide, via an industrial placement, experience which is directly relevant to the student's post-graduate taught degree programme. This course may only be taken after a relevant MSc (Chemical Process Engineering or Global Management of Natural Resources) has been completed.

The placement must be approved by the Department, which will make sure that adequate, identifiable supervision and training are provided by the host company, that adequate supervision is provided by the student’s home Department, and that the student’s plan of work for the year is related to his/her field of study and of adequate level.

Several reports are due during the placement, including a final one. The latter report is due upon completion of the placement, and will be used by the home Department for assessment. The assessment is Pass or Fail.
