Description

This module is designed to enable the postgraduate to develop fundamental and applied scientific principles underpinning implant dentistry as well as the clinical evidence based upon which the discipline is founded. This is development on from the Implant Science 1 module. Topics will include: Evidence based Implant Dentistry, Clinical decision making to save or extract teeth, Case assessment and treatment planning criteria, Hard and Soft Tissue Interfaces, Clinical implications and significance of Implant design, Applied Dental materials 2, Biomechanics 2, Advanced occlusal concepts, Restorative Procedures 2, Laboratory techniques and procedures, Maintenance and management of mechanical and biological complications
