Description

This module examines differing conceptions of Europe, the history of the European Economic Community (EEC) and the European Union (EU), and the attitudes of individual states to the process of European integration. It covers topics such as the Cold War and post-Communism, nationalism and Europeanism, political and economic convergence, European institutions and the question of enlargement. No previous knowledge of European history or politics is required. Available to: First years, second years and affiliates.
