Description

Drug Discovery is the key to translate basic research and science into translational medicine and consequently new therapeutics for patient benefit. This module will provide you an overview of the scientific and pharmacological basis for the discovery and development of novel therapeutic agents in inflammation and respiratory diseases. It will provide the foundation for understanding key features of drug targeting and development focussing on respiratory diseases including lung cancer, COVID-19, asthma, pneumonia, tuberculosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. This module will be delivered by academic researchers and pharmaceutical experts who will address development methodology in the context of the current unmet clinical need.
