Description

This is the second of three major design studio modules to develop knowledge, skills and abilities in architectural, sturctural and environmental design synthesis. This interdisciplinary design studio approach will enhance the students' ability to address complex design challenges in the built environment by bringing together 'know what' of science and 'know why and how' of open design. Pedagogically innovative, this module will harness and evolve the design studio model to utilise engineering tools in the creative design process to augment design proposals with advanced fabrication facilities, engineering laboaratories, with world class design teachers to put innovation, exploration and experimentation at the heart of the 'design practice' studio.
