Description

The study of sexuality and gender diversity encompasses a broad range of fields and disciplines. This module, team-taught by staff from several ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûDepartments, combines theoretical, historical, social, legal, and cultural analyses of sexual and gender diversity with a range of case studies drawing on current research interests. Organised around broad themes it introduces key critical frameworks such as queer theory, LGBT and transgender studies. There will also be opportunities to explore sexual and gender diversity as aspects of global politics and to consider how these categories intersect with multiple axes of identity and belonging. Specific themes and case studies covered may vary from year to year subject to staff availability.
