Description

In this module you will learn how to develop computer models that can simulate interactions between offenders, victims and guardians. Designed for students with no prior experience of coding, the module will help you acquire core programming skills and give you an ecological perspective on crime. Within the space of 10 weeks, you will learn to develop simple agent-based models and use them to analyse crime problems. Learning is facilitated by mini lectures (incl. online videos) and interactive computer lab sessions. This simulation course is highly recommended to all students with an interest in criminological theories, offender decision making, virtual reality and computational social sciences.
