Description

This is an advanced module and designed for students who have studied management topics previously. The content will cover complex topics which are not suited to students with no prior knowledge of subjects related to the field.

This Module considers a wide range of major strategic financial analyses addressed by companies鈥 senior financial officers today. This non-quantitative, theoretical Key Concepts course, 鈥淐FS鈥, is designed to be of interest to numerous groups, including but not limited to: aspiring corporate financial officers, advisors, bankers and consultants dealing with firms鈥 top financial decision-makers, plus other Finance-oriented general management students who appreciate strategies aimed at maximising shareholder value. Focus is on alternative opportunities/threats encountered by the FD/CFO in key areas. Topics tend to include several of the following: solvency and working capital management, debt management, optimal capital structure, Capital Asset Pricing Model, capital expenditure evaluation and alternative approaches, the relationship of business model to financing options, financing plan development, and disbursements (buybacks and dividends).
