Description

Our Cardiac Engineering module acts as an introduction to the breath of biomedical engineering, but we felt it was important also to provide a focus so that we can study a particular area in depth. The heart is ideal for this, as is it an electrical pump, providing opportunities to study medical electronics, and a selection of other bioengineering topics*, all in the context of a safety-critical organ. *e.g. mechanics, fluid mechanics, sensing and/or imaging.
