Description

This module explores what it means to be a sustainable business and how sustainability is embedded into the design of an organisation. You will explore ventures at different scales and across industries. Through a systemic lens you will examine how sustainability challenges (from climate change, resource depletion, pollution and waste to human rights, diversity and equity) are put into practice and managed in various organisational systems (e.g., finance, material, human). You will consider the implications for the growth of ventures, sectors, and ecosystems more broadly. Finally, you will discuss barriers and opportunities for the implementation and communication of embedding sustainability into organisations now and in the near future.
