This module covers basic sciences necessary to understand the clinical aspects of Endodontics. The subject matter spans: Cell Biology; Anatomy and physiology of the orofacial complex; Inflammation, wound healing and Immunology; Microbiology and pathology of orofacial diseases; Effect of traumatic injuries to alveolus and teeth; Aetiopathogenesis of endodontic problems; Epidemiology and its relevance to endodontics; Basic materials science relevant to endodontics.
