Description

This module provides an introduction to the various clinical services that audiologists can specialise in, once qualified. You will learn about the assessment and management of hearing loss in children, tinnitus, balance disorders, severe to profound hearing loss and adults with complex conditions or additional needs, so that you can refer these clinics once qualified.

This module provides an introduction to the various clinical services that audiologists can specialise in, once qualified, including:

  • Paediatric Audiology.
  • Vestibular Assessment and management
  • Introduction to Tinnitus and hyperacusis.
  • Severe to profound hearing loss.
  • Services for adults with additional needs

On completion of this module you should be able to:

  1. Explain the role of the audiologist in assessing and managing a variety of hearing and balance disorders and tinnitus.
  2. Describe a range of conditions seen in audiology clinics.
  3. Summarise the assessment options for a variety of audiological conditions.
