Description

This module introduces students on MA Health Humanities and MA PPE Health to key methodologies in conducting interdisciplinary research. Students will acquire the skills needed to write successful essays at MA level, and approach topics from various disciplines, including arts, philosophy, history, anthropology and sociology. They will learn about the different approaches required and types of knowledge relating to different field and understand how the Health Humanities integrates these into a trans-disciplinary area of study. In Term 1, we will consider key skills required for carrying out interdisciplinary modules. In term 2, we will take deep dive into the different ways in which disciplines have approached health research, and consider what the epistemological challenges of conducting health humanities research.Ìý
