Description

This module will require you to conduct an investigation of the literature on a specialised area of Neuroscience research. You will be allocated a subject/topic offered by a member of staff in the Department of Neuroscience, Physiology and Pharmacology (NPP) or associated departments and be supervised by them. You will write as account of the background of the project, the methods used by researchers in the subject area, the results obtained and discuss the conclusions that have and can be drawn in the context of the current data available from the literature.

After taking this module you will be able to:

(i) Read and review the published literature in a specialised area of research.

ii) Analyse published experimental data critically

(iii)interpret experimental data and make useful inferences thereafter.

(iv) Prepare and present a poster based on the project to two examiners.

(v) Write a clear and knowledgeable dissertation, on a specialised topic
