Dr John Sorabji appointed as legal adviser to Independent Review of the Human Rights Act

The government has established a review which will consider how the Human Rights Act is working in practice and whether any changes are required.

Dr John Sorabji, Lecturer at ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûLaws and barrister at , has been appointed as the legal adviser to the .

The Review will look the framework of the Human Rights Act 1998 (HRA), how it is operating in practice, the strengths and weaknesses of the framework in relation to the issues in the Terms of Reference, and whether any change is needed.

An independent report will be published outlining the assessment of the issues raised in the Terms of Reference and where appropriate, options for reform.
