Professor Charles Mitchell, Professor of Law at ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûFaculty of Laws, has given a lecture at a Specialist Jurisdiction Training Day for Commercial, Chancery, and Technology and Construction Court judges for the  on Monday 6 November 2017.

Professor Mitchell reviewed recent developments in the law of unjust enrichment, focussing on claims for the ‘time value’ of money, exemplified by Sempra Metals Ltd v IRC [2008] AC 561 and Littlewoods Retail Ltd v HMRC [2016] Ch 373, and claims for a proprietary remedy on the ground of failure of basis, exemplified by Re D&D Wines International Ltd (in liq) [2016] 1 WLR 3179.
