Professor Piet Eeckhout speaks at symposium on the role of the Court of Justice of the EU

, Vice Dean and Professor of EU Law at ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûFaculty of Laws, spoke at the – Court of Justice of the European Union Symposium on Monday 17 October.

Professor Eeckhout spoke as part of a session on the EU and international dispute settlement at the event held at the Court of Justice of the EU in Luxembourg.

Professor Eeckhout, who is also one of the coordinators of the Society’s Interest Group on the EU as a Global Actor, said:

‘This is a unique opportunity to address important questions about how the EU deals with international law and international treaties, in the very premises of the EU’s Court where many of these questions are decided.’
