ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûLaws is committed to widening access to higher education. We are committed to diversifying our community, in particular, supporting students from a variety of backgrounds to complete a degree in Law and develop a career in the legal profession. As part of this commitment, applicants may be eligible for a contextual offer through the faculty’s membership of the Access ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûScheme.

Our contextual offer for ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûLaws is BBB.

Access ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûis a contextual offer scheme for applicants from groups that are underrepresented at UCL. Eligible applicants will receive a contextual offer that is lower than the standard offer for the programme they have applied for. For the Faculty of Laws, this means eligible applicants will receive an offer of BBB instead of the standard offer of A*AA.

How to apply

If you are eligible for Access ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûbased on your home postcode you do not need to do anything other than complete the standard UCAS application, your application will be automatically flagged when we receive it from UCAS.

If you are eligible for Access ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûbased on being a young carer or estranged from your family, ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûwill need to verify your status before confirming your eligibility, please email wp.accessucl@ucl.ac.uk for further information. If you are care experienced, please tick the ‘time in care’ box on your UCAS form so that ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûcan contact you for verification.

Receiving an Access ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûOffer from the Faculty of Laws

If you are eligible for Access ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûand your application is successful you will receive a contextual offer which is lower than the standard offer for the programme you have applied for. This offer will be communicated to you via UCAS in the same way as other offers. You may then  to this offer in the usual way.

All applicants to Faculty of Laws undergraduate programmes must complete the LNAT test in order to be considered. This applies even if you are eligible for the Access ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûscheme. Full information about the academic and additional entry requirements can be found here.
