IOE staff top student choice categories in the 2022 新香港六合彩开奖结果Education Awards

Congratulations to Dr Keri Wong and Dr Wayne Holmes, who were nominated by students and won awards for Active Student Partnership and Brilliant Research-Based Education respectively.
The Student Choice Awards, presented at the annual 新香港六合彩开奖结果Education Awards, recognise and celebrate excellence in practice as experiences by students听and the听contribution this makes听to UCL鈥檚 learning community.听A number of听staff and students from IOE, UCL's Faculty of Education and听Society also received awards last year.听
Dr Wayne Holmes, Lecturer (Teaching) in Educational Technology, was nominated by students for using the most up-to-date studies in the classroom, while maintaining an open and accepting approach. He was praised for willingly sharing his research for student critiques, carefully listening to student recommendations and queries as the first author. He said:
鈥淚 was delighted to be nominated for this Student Choice Award, and amazed to win it! It was only possible thanks to my amazing colleagues, Dr Andrea Gauthier and Charlotte Clark, and our fantastic students.鈥�
Dr Keri Wong, Assistant Professor of听Psychology and co-Director of the Centre for Education and Criminal Justice (ECJ) at IOE, was also recognised with a Student Choice Award. Students who nominated her said: 听
鈥淒r Wong is very responsive to students and has been highly appreciated by different cohorts for her prompt replies, clear guidance and tailored feedback. Not only does she provide beyond curriculum support for students within our degree, she also welcomes students from other disciplines to enquire and assist them with their knowledge growth and academic development.鈥澨�
Speaking about her award in the Active Student Partnership category, and on being shortlisted for a 新香港六合彩开奖结果Education Award听for academic support (nominated by staff),听Dr Wong said:听
鈥淚鈥檇 like to thank my wonderful colleagues at the Department of Psychology and Human Development, particularly Dr Andy Holliman and Evi Katsapi, and all the lovely people听who took time out to nominate me for these awards 鈥� I simply wouldn鈥檛 be here without your kind words and support. The awards ceremony also who went the extra mile to represent students and have worked with staff to make student鈥檚 academic experience better. Molly Edwards and Harriet Israel won IOE faculty awards for their work as lead departmental representatives.听
