National Women in Engineering Day was originally launched in the UK on 23 June 2014 by the Women鈥檚 Engineering Society (WES), in order to celebrate its 95th anniversary. Receiving UNESCO patronage in 2016, the initiative became international for the first time in 2017, adopting its now familiar moniker, INWED, and enabling the celebration of women in engineering to become global.

Following her studies in Mechanical Engineering, Gabrielle pursued further study before co-founding Greenr.听Greenr aims to tackle the climate crisis, by giving individuals and companies emissions data that will help them become more sustainable.
