Biography听
Malu A. C. Gatto is Associate Professor of Latin American Politics at the Institute of the Americas at University College London (UCL) and Global Fellow at the Brazil Institute at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars. Previously, she was a post-doctoral researcher (Oberassistentin) at the Department of Political Science of the University of Zurich.
She completed her doctoral studies at the听Department of Politics and International Relations听at the University of Oxford (DPhil, 2016). She also holds an MSc in Politics Research (2012) from Corpus Christi College, University of Oxford, and a BA (2011) from Barnard College, Columbia University.
Research summary
Malu鈥檚 work explores questions about political behaviour, representation, policy-making, and gender and politics with a regional focus on Latin America, especially Brazil. Her听听has been published at听Comparative Political Studies, the听British Journal of Political Science,听Party Politics,听Democratization, and听Politics & Gender, among others.听
