Professor Maxine Molyneux in New Year's Honours

Congratulations to Professor Molyneux, and all other ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûstaff, students and alumni who have been named in the 2023 New Year Honours

Professor Maxine Molyneux

Professor Maxine Molyneux (ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûInstitute of the Americas) has been appointed a Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George (CMG), for services to international development and UK/Latin America relations.

Professor Molyneux, currently Professor of Sociology at ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûand a former Director of the ÐÂÏã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹ûInstitute of the Americas, is an expert in the fields of political sociology, gender and development, human rights and social policy.

She has led multi-country research projects investigating the effectiveness of anti-poverty programmes for the UK’s Department for International Development (now merged into the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office) as well development policy agencies and NGOs.
